1.61 is a very minor release, with changes to PXELINUX and ISOLINUX only. However, for PXELINUX and ISOLINUX users, the changes seemed significant enough to justify a release. Changes in 1.61: * ISOLINUX: Support full pathname searches. Max length for a pathname is 255 characters. As a result, only 64 "label" statements are supported in ISOLINUX. * PXELINUX: Max filename length extended to 63 characters. Begin3 Title: syslinux Version: 1.61 Entered-date: 2001-04-13 Description: SYSLINUX is a boot loader for the Linux operating system which operates off MS-DOS floppies. It is intended to simplify first-time installation of Linux, rescue disks, and other uses for boot floppies. A SYSLINUX floppy can be manipulated using standard MS-DOS (or any other OS that can access an MS-DOS filesystem) tools once it has been created; and requires only a ~ 8K DOS program or ~ 16K Linux program to create in the first place. Starting with version 1.46 it also includes PXELINUX, a program to boot off a network server using a boot PROM compatible with the Intel PXE (Pre-Execution Environment) specification. Starting with version 1.60 it also includes ISOLINUX, a program to boot off an ISO 9660 in native "no-emulation" mode.
