.TH CS 1 .SH NAME cs \- checksum for TeX fonts .SH SYNOPSIS .nf cs [-o] TeXfont cs [-o] [-e] [-S] [-E] AFMfile .SH DESCRIPTION This program can read checksums from existing TeX font files (TFM, PK or VF). It can also compute the checksum for TeX fonts that are used to cope with PostScript fonts in the same manner as afm2tfm(1), as part of dvips version 5.487 or higher, and ps2pk(1) do. In the case of a PostScript font, the checksum will depend upon: .RS .nf - the AFMfile (containing widths for all characters) - the encoding vector (-e or encoding used in AFMfile) - the amount of extension used (-E). .RE .PP Slanting has no effect on the checksum because it does not change the character box. .SH OPTIONS .IP "-o" Print checksum as an octal value. .IP "-e" The encoding scheme (default the encoding from the AFM file). .IP "-E" The extension factor (real value, default 1.0). .IP "-S" The slant (real value, default 0.0). .SH EXAMPLES cs -o cmr10.tfm cs -o -eEC.enc Times-Roman.afm .SH SEE ALSO afm2tfm(1), dvips(1), ps2pk(1) .SH VERSION 1.0 (Januari 1995) .SH AUTHOR .nf Piet Tutelaers rcpt@urc.tue.nl
